
Mark Shavlik founded Shavlik Technologies in 1993 to offer a unique, market-driven approach to security application design and development. Mark has over 20 years experience in successfully identifying market needs and building, marketing and selling innovative products and solutions, including tenure as a senior systems designer and Windows NT kernel development project leader in the Microsoft Systems group, and as an original member of the Windows NT development team under David Cutler. At Microsoft, Mark also managed Microsoft OEM relationships with Compaq, IBM and Zenith. Mark received his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin. Mark's unique combination of business and technical skills has built Shavlik Technologies into a market-leading security firm.

Dan Kinsella oversees the accounting and finance functions at Shavlik Technologies, including financial reporting, strategic / financial planning and analysis, treasury management, and risk management. Most recently, Dan was CFO and VP Operations of Gearworks, Inc., a successful Software as a Service (“SaaS”) start up providing software and services for the mobile work force market. Previously, Dan was CFO of Datalink Corporation, where he had finance and operations roles, leading the company through a successful IPO as well as a rapid growth phase. Dan has held CFO and other finance roles for the last 20 years with other privately and publicly held companies, including Lloyds' Food Products, Grist Mill Co. and RBC Dain Rauscher. He was also an audit supervisor with Deloitte & Touche. Dan is a CPA and holds a B.A. in accounting from the University of St. Thomas.

Nicole Amsler oversees the inbound and outbound marketing strategies at Shavlik Technologies and manages the product marketing, product management and corporate communications departments. With over 15 years of experience in both marketing and engineering, Nicole has held executive level positions at several Silicon Valley startups. Most recently Nicole served as Executive Director of Communications at Meltwater, a Software as a Service company. Prior to Meltwater, she was the VP of Corporate Communications at Accuray, Inc. In addition, Nicole has held senior-level roles at Ikanos Communications, Agilent Technologies and Kimberley-Clark. Nicole holds a B.S. in engineering from California Polytechnic State University, a M.S. in engineering from the University of Tennessee and a M.B.A from Georgia State University.

Donna Shatava is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Shavlik’s worldwide human resources, including employee recruitment, compensation and benefits, training and development, and employee relations. With more than 15 years in HR management, Donna most recently served as Human Resources Director at St. Jude Medical, managing the HR operations for several facilities within the SJM Atrial Fibrillation Division. Donna holds a Master of Science degree in Industrial Relations and Human Resources from Loyola University of Chicago, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Minnesota.

Jason Tober provides executive leadership and directs and manages Shavlik’s global sales and business development initiatives. Jason has been in the information technology market for 16 years where he has held sales, management, and technical positions for Fortune 500 companies (e.g. CSC) as well as start-ups. Jason co-founded Ian Alliott Consulting, a technology and management consulting firm which was acquired by TechArch Group in 2000. Jason also co-founded Medovation, Inc. to develop automation software for the medical device market. Jason has been with Shavlik since 2004 serving in various North American and International sales and business development roles. Jason has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from St. Olaf College.

Ed Peek is responsible for all of Shavlik Technologies’ branded product sales worldwide, through a global network of reseller partners and security solutions providers. With over 20 years of industry experience, Ed has held executive level sales positions with leading technology and security companies including HMK USA, Sun Microsystems, LSC LLC, Secure Computing Corporation, Alliant Techsystems, Inc. and Honeywell. Ed is a retired U.S. Marine Corp Officer and a graduate of the Auburn University College of Business.
