If you are upgrading from NetChk Protect 6.0 or earlier:
Please download and install NetChk Protect 6.5.3 (below) before installing NetChk Protect 7.5.

Shavlik NetChk Protect 7 requires access to a SQL Server database (SQL Server 2005, 2008 or SQL Server 2005, 2008 Express.) If you do not have access to a SQL Server database, the option to install SQL Server 2008 Express will be provided during the pre-requisite software installation process.

Important Information for customers upgrading from a prior version of Shavlik NetChk Configure/Compliance: Please read the Shavlik Knowledge Base Article 6956 prior to upgrading to NetChk Configure 4.

If you are Upgrading to NetChk Configure 4.2 from NetChk Compliance 3.0
You cannot upgrade directly from NetChk Compliance 3.0 to NetChk Configure 4.2. You must first upgrade to NetChk Compliance 3.1. Download NetChk Compliance 3.1

Support for Microsoft Access and SQL 2000 backend database has been discontinued.
Shavlik NetChk Configure 4.1 and higher requires access to a SQL Server database (SQL Server 2005, 2008 or SQL Server 2005, 2008 Express). Access database is no longer supported. SQL Server 2000 database is not longer supported. If you do not have access to a SQL Server 2005 or 2008 database, the option to install SQL Server 2008 Express will be provided during the pre-requisite software installation process.
